God Story: Healed from a Wheelchair — A Guillain-Barré Miracle

Here’s how God has shown up in Palo Alto, CA 94304.

For nearly a year, she lived in the shadow of sickness, confined to a wheelchair, her body betraying her in ways doctors couldn’t fully explain. What began as a strange sensation in her legs turned into a journey of pain, doubt, and ultimately — divine healing that stunned everyone who witnessed it.

When Everything Fell Apart

“I was sitting down, and all of a sudden, my heart started pounding really hard,” she recalled. “I tried to stand up to go to my room, but my legs didn’t work.”

That moment marked the beginning of six long months of fainting spells, weakness, and a daily struggle to survive. “I was fainting 15 to 45 times a day. Every day it felt like something else was taken from me — my strength, my energy, my ability to be a mom, a wife, and a friend.”

After countless appointments and tests, doctors at Stanford Medical Center diagnosed her with Guillain-Barré Syndrome — a rare autoimmune neurological disease that causes the immune system to attack the nervous system.

“They told me there’s no cure,” she said. “Some people recover, but some never walk again.”

Slowly, she began regaining small bits of her strength — until January 2017, when she relapsed. Only three to five percent of patients experience relapse, and this time, it was worse.

“It felt like the rug had been ripped out from under me,” she said. “I started to question everything — even God. Is He real? Is He good? Why would He let this happen again?”

When All Hope Faded

Months passed. The pain, weakness, and fear intensified. On April 21, 2017, she reached her breaking point.

“I cried out to God and said, ‘I don’t think I can do this anymore. I don’t know how I’m going to make it as a loving, caring person who still trusts You.’”

The next morning, she and her husband went out for coffee — trying to find a moment of normalcy amid the chaos.

Then, out of nowhere, a young woman approached them.

“She said, ‘Hi, excuse me. I’m learning to hear the voice of God, and I believe He wants me to pray for you.’”

The Miracle Moment

As the woman began to pray, something incredible happened.

“My right leg started convulsing uncontrollably,” she said. “Then both legs started moving on their own. I got up to try to walk — and I could.”

For the first time in over a year and a half, her legs obeyed.

“My husband was filming me, and he just dropped the phone and started weeping. His mind couldn’t believe God could be that good.”

Moments later, she began to run.

“It was impossible,” she said. “But it was happening.”

Walking — and Running — Again

She went home that day, no longer bound to her wheelchair. Her daughter, who had only known her mother as sick and immobile, watched her walk through the door — free, healed, and whole.

“I left home in a wheelchair and came back running,” she said. “My daughter will have that memory forever — of God healing her mom right in front of her eyes.”

Today, she lives completely free of all symptoms, sharing her story of healing and hope everywhere she goes.

“I get to live a life that’s completely free of all boundaries,” she said with joy. “And I get to tell everyone what God did for me.”

🙏 Her story is a powerful reminder that God still heals today — sometimes in an instant, sometimes over time — but always in His perfect way.
